Juniors Kyra Kalman and Brenna Mckinnis hold up this year’s Powder Puff t-shirts.

The annual Powder Puff will be held May 31 at 5:00 p.m. in the football stadium. Tickets are being sold for $5, for those who did not order a Powder Puff shirt.

For the past 16 years, 20 junior and senior girls have competed against each other in a game of football as a friendly competition. In preparation, practices have been held after school from 4 to 5 p.m. since last week.

“I have been waiting to join Powder Puff since I first heard about it freshman year,”  junior Taylor Swindling said. “The idea of being involved in an activity that is reserved for junior and senior girls is a great bonding experience. I’m excited to be able to play football with a group of girls in my graduating class who want to win and beat the seniors.”
