On Thursday, October 29th, the Hawks hosted the division rival Plano East Panthers in a home game at the Woodshed. The Panthers struck early and headed into halftime with a 14-7 lead over the Hawks. After Hebron tied the game with a touchdown from receiver Isaiah Gary, Plano East retook the lead after a 3 yard touchdown run. Hebron’s defense managed to contain the Panthers’ offense, giving the ball back to the offense with less than 8 minutes left. The Hawks drove down the field, but were unable to convert a crucial 4th down after quarterback Clayton Tune was sacked. Plano East won the game by a final score of 21-14. With the loss, Hebron’s record on the year fell to 3-6 as they travel to McKinney Boyd this Thursday, with a chance to make the playoffs.
