[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Ever wonder what it is like to fall in love the moment you see the one and not realize it? “The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight,” by Jennifer E. Smith tells of how a couple of strangers found love in an absurd place; 40,000 feet in the air.

In an unfortunate twist of events, Hadley is forced to go to her dad’s second wedding. The complications of the day before leaves Hadley four minutes late to her flight to London the next day. As she is waiting for the next available flight, Hadley meets Oliver in the cramped waiting area. Oliver is perfectly British and is heading to London as well. Luckily for Hadley they were only a seat apart.

Hadley and Oliver’s relationship represents love that can blossom in the worst of times and in the shortest of times. And that the only way for one to be happy is to accept other people’s happiness.

Smith demonstrates her writing talent by uniquely describing the emotions of the characters through memories.

The novel is paced well and is weaved neatly together in a way that it seems the story is longer than expected. The conflicts between each character were thought-provoking. It puts you in another worldly mindset and makes you realize that these types of conflicts exist in the real world and how heartbreaking they can be.

This book is a perfect, quick read for the upcoming Valentine’s Day.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
