The series is about Marco Polo’s adventures, but on a much more intense scale. The series can be a bit graphic at times between fight sequences or even the introduction of a new female character. The show manages to closely follow the true stories of Marco Polo’s journeys, while keeping the show interesting with action at every turn.

The show is well executed  whether it be props or historical events and characters remaining historically accurate. The cast works together very well and each person fits their roles with great charisma. Lorenzo Richelmy plays Marco Polo, followed by Benedict Wong as Kublai Khan and Joan Chen as Empress Chabi. These are the three main characters throughout of the series who perfect the character they are assigned with brilliance.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][image_with_animation image_url=”8609″ animation=”Fade In” img_link_target=”_self” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]In the past, when Netflix has attempted to make their own movie or Tv series they have failed miserably. Movies such as “Delta Farce,” starring Larry the Cable Guy, were complete disasters, along with “Richie Rich,” and “Turbo FAST,” are a few  among many others. I must say I was surprised by the quality of the production coming from Netflix, given their bad track record. Most of the show’s success comes from series creator, John Fusco. Fusco, a very interesting and successful screenplay writer, who in the past has created hits like “Spirit: stallion of the cimarron,” and “Hidalgo.”

IMDb has given the TV series an 8.2/10 rating, which is impressive considering it’s rare for anything on the website to get over a nine. I personally agree with this rating because of how well Netflix has managed to execute this show. There are only a few things holding this show back from any higher of a rating, most of which being the result of adult content.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][image_with_animation image_url=”3521″ animation=”Fade In” img_link_target=”_self”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][tabbed_section][tab title=”Pros” id=”1432060381036-4″][vc_column_text]

How does the show alter from the storyline? I’ve watched it myself, and it seemed like a nice and timely progression with the plot as well as lasting for the episode count for the season and keeping my attention and interest.
