Fear the walking dead is a big disappointment

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Zombies, guts and glory! Five years after its debut in 2010, “The Walking Dead” continues to maintain a strong following. Due to the success of this beloved show, AMC has decided to create a spin-off, dubbed “Fear The Walking Dead.” Rightfully so, since this prequel shows the events during the zombie infestation, unlike its predecessor which takes place after the catastrophic event occurred. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]“Fear the Walking Dead” centers around the Clarks, a dysfunctional family in Los Angeles dealing with the new outbreak of the zombie virus. The show starts out a bit cheesy and campy in an abandoned church turned crack house.  Much like the crack house, the zombies that occupy it look worse for wear. The makeup is a bit choppy and seemingly half-finished.  Immediately, you are introduced to family conflicts accompanied by the outbreak of zombies. Even with all this happening, I still felt like the episode took forever to end. Maybe because “The Walking Dead” starts out so fast-paced and action-filled,“Fear the Walking Dead” looks like just another sad wannabe. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]The casting seems to be just right, with perfect fits for each role. As for the characters, I am excited for their development throughout the series. From the teacher step-father to a heroin-addicted son, they all have to change their ways in order to to survive.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]The concrete jungle of LA provides a great backdrop for the action bound to take place. Such a populated area will not bode well for the survival of the Clark family, but hopefully it will help with the excitement factor. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]When the tempo picks up, so will my interest. For now my opinion is predominantly negative. The show is so slow that a zombie could catch up with it. Add a little mayhem and we’ll have yet another hit to watch. • Good casting
  • Interesting plot setup

[/vc_column_text][/tab][tab title=”Cons” id=”1443122278812-1″][vc_column_text]

  • Slow tempo
  • Lack of action
