This booth’s grilling was tasty enough to have a man recommend it to passing families. Olivia Bragg[/vc_column_text][/item][item title=”Item” id=”1412880199477-0-0″][image_with_animation image_url=”5896″ animation=”Fade In” img_link_target=”_self”][vc_column_text]“It was good,” first-time runner Allison Harrison said. “I couldn’t find [my son] most of the time because he ran way far ahead of me and finished quite some time before I did. Photo By: Olivia Bragg[/vc_column_text][/item][/carousel][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]The second annual Rotary Fest held in Heritage Park in Flower Mound on October 4 hosted a Neon Night 5K run to benefit charities of the runner’s choice. Returning and new runners alike were welcomed at the registration table with a bright green shirt and a pack of glow sticks.

“Every single penny that we raise goes to charity,” second-time runner Janet Ogletree said. “It’s just a great event. It’s a good family-oriented event and there’s a 5k run and fun things for the kids to do.”

Those not participating in the run strolled through the various food trucks or layed out a chair to enjoy the live music. Adults took advantage of the beer garden while children bragged of their balloon hats, making Rotary Fest an event for all ages.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
