Football lost against the Fossil Ridge Panthers in Keller on Sept. 4. The Hawks scored a touchdown in the first quarter to start the game, before the Panthers made a field goal late in the quarter. The Panthers made a second field goal early in the second quarter, making the score 7-6. The Hawks also kicked a field goal in the second quarter. Before the second quarter ended, the Panthers scored a touchdown and kicked one more field goal, bringing the score to 10-16. After a lightning delay during half time, the Panthers scored another touchdown in the third quarter. With one minute to go in the third quarter, junior quarterback Carson Harris made a two-yard rushing touchdown to bring the score to 17- 23. During the fourth quarter, the Panthers scored two more touchdowns, making the final score 17-37. The Hawks next game will be against Nimitz at Irving on Sept. 28.
