[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Do you ever wonder what it feels like to go on a blind date? Not knowing what they look like or what their personality will be like just by their appearance, but you are a bit curious to know them more.

Once again, the library is hosting its third annual Blind Date. Head Librarian Liz Harrison and her library aides have been working for at least three weeks preparing 350 books—more than the two previous years combined—for the display.

Students are now able to check out wrapped books, called “Blind Dates,” which they have to unwrap it outside the library. There is a catch: the student must read at least the first chapter and decide whether to keep it or pick out another book from the table. But only one “Blind Date” per day. The Blind Date table is located inside the library along with the rest of the rules. Students are also able to check out books on the display windows.

“[Students] really can’t judge a book by its cover,” Harrison said, “You really don’t know sometimes. You could start reading it and think, ‘Oh, this is the best thing I’ve ever read.’”
