Circle of Friends and baseball will be sponsoring the first Run Like a Hawk 5K marathon on April 5 at the Castle Hills Village Shops. A portion of the registration fees will go to Circle of Friends. Although online registration for the 5K has ended, anyone is still welcome to donate to the cause.

“The baseball team contacted us and invited us to be a part of it,” Circle of Friends sponsor Karen Cummings said. “In the past, we used to have the Sonic fundraisers, and that would be our sole source of money for the club. Now that they do not allow fundraisers anymore, we needed another way to raise money.”

The marathon will begin at 8:00 a.m. while a one mile Fun Run will begin at 7:30 a.m. For more information, visit the Run On Texas website.
