Footwear to step up your shoe game

Shoes can change your entire outfit as they serve as the literal foundation for your feet and style. The fact that they have so many varieties and uses, such as in sports, formal wear, casual wear and in domestic settings, proves they are the most essential component to an outfit, besides underwear. After diving into the universe of footwear, I compiled a list of stylish shoes.

Adidas Superstars (Cloud White / Aluminum / Vivid Red)

With the first models released in 1969, this classic shoe is perfect for anyone needing a sturdy go-to pair of footwear. The vintage colorway also boosts style points for a subtle throwback to the 70s and 80s.

Vans Old Skool (Gray Dawn)

Another classic, but this time belonging to skater culture. You cannot go wrong with low-top Vans. These were made to withstand the beatings from jumping, running and kickflips, so as a cheap, casual, everyday pair, they’ll last for years.

Cloud Cushion Slides (Black)

I personally like these as they’re super comfortable and will offer the same height advantage of most shoes. They also trump the usual pair of Adidas or Nike slides as they look and feel more premium than rubber ones with a swoosh or stripes.

Adidas Ultraboosts 4.0 (Cloud White)

Aside from being useful for everyday wear, Ultraboosts also excel in athletic-related activities. Launched in 2015, they became the first running shoes to rise to prominence in streetwear.

Reebok Club C 85 Vintage (Chalk)

I love this pair of shoes. It’s simple, clean and vintage with the off-white colorway. Also, they’re only $75!

Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars High Top (Black)

Thanks to Chuck Taylor, All Stars are a great choice for the high-top crowd. However, I recommend you put your own insoles in them for long days of walking or any activity in general.

Nike Air Max 90 LTR (White)

A personal favorite I wear everyday, Air Max 90s give you the height, style and durability Air Force 1s can give you but without being too similar to the “masses.”
