Photo Gallery: Volleyball vs. Southlake Carroll 10/18
The volleyball team competed against Southlake Carroll on Oct. 18 at home. The Hawks won the match in five sets, winning the final set 15-9. The Hawks will play their next game Oct. 20 at Flower Mound.
Although the Lady Hawks pulled out a win, the team was under pressure as this game was one of the toughest matches of the season.
“I think the first few sets were kind of tough, but we came together in the fifth set and played well as a team,” junior and middle hitter Emma Clothier said. “We knew what we had to do to win the match and we applied [the skills] and won. This was really good for us going into playoffs because it really tested what we have been working on and prepared us for difficult matches to come.”
Senior Sydney Gray is the opinion and entertainment editor and this is her third year on staff. She loves writing, art, watching Netflix and running.
