Lewisville will be gaining a retro movie-going experience through the Coyote Drive-in Theater company. Those who have visited the Fort Worth location will find a similar layout and experience including restaurants, balloon artists and a consistent movie schedule. After the sun goes down, the movies come out and many students may be found among the 250,000 annual visitors.

Sometimes there’s not much social stuff you can do in a movie theatre, but in a drive-in theatre, I went as a kid and it was fun. [A drawback] could be, does it bring in unwanted behavior? And trash and traffic [and that] kind of stuff. I think it’s a great idea, I plan on going. Maybe we need to have a choir night at the drive-in.”

It could be something that I hit on the way home from work. I sit here and do a nice day of stuff and then plan a movie on the way home. For drawbacks, it’s the same kind of thing. Is the area ready for all the extra traffic and stuff like that.”

I don’t know if it will be better or worse [than a regular theater] but it would be different and it would allow for a unique environment.”

They are putting in a restaurant and a playground so it’ll be a family thing you could go do or you could just go with a couple of friends and just go eat.”

You could be in your car in the comfort of your own little space. [Hanging out with friends] would be easier. While you’re in a movie theater, you can’t really talk to your friends where as in your car, you can discuss what you’re watching and I think that’d be really awesome.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_text_separator title=”Sophomore Louis Ramirez” title_align=”separator_align_center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]“I think it’d be fun, like another hangout place for everyone to visit when they’ve been to Top Golf too many times. I think it’d be better if you want to be outdoors. It’s better than being in a cramped up movie theater with a bunch of people because you have your own little space and everything.”

It might be hard getting in because of parking. A lot of people are going to go. They’re going to need a lot of parking.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
