Raspberry Truffle. Macadamia Coconut. These are eye-catching drinks featured on the house lattes menu at Carys Coffee. Recently opened on the corner of Hebron and Old Denton, the coffee and tea house offers an array of edgy and diverse menu options.

Once we entered the door, we were greeted by a smiling and welcoming staff. The warm, yellow walls and the tall windows lit the shop. As we looked around the store, we could see the many knick-knacks and school supplies, designed for customer satisfaction. However, the seating was limited and the decor was overwhelming. We found relief from the cluttered interior by stepping outside into the patio area.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]With more than 30 loose leaf teas and two full menus of espresso drinks, ranging from the house lattes to a simple americano, Carys Coffee boasts a wide range of drinks that are not available in mainstream coffee houses. In addition, there are daily menus, which include soups and coffee brews.

We ordered the lobster bisque soup from the daily menu, an Almond Bliss Latte from the house lattes menu, and a Lucky Charms cupcake, fresh from a local bakery. The soup, which cost $4.86, was creamy and filling, even though the portion was small. Priced at $4.45, the latte was rich and tasted like upgraded hot chocolate. The Lucky Charms cupcake, while “charming,” was disappointing considering the $3.29 price tag. The Lucky Charms did not complement the cake, which wasn’t particularly extraordinary.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_gallery type=”nectarslider_style” interval=”3″ images=”3558,3560,3556″ layout=”3″ gallery_style=”1″ onclick=”link_image” custom_links_target=”_self” img_size=”380×400″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][image_with_animation image_url=”3555″ animation=”Fade In” img_link_target=”_self”][vc_column_text]Overall, Carys Coffee is a quaint coffee house that offers a wide range of specialty drinks, but not much more than that. We recommend trying out the daily menu but avoiding the pastries. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][image_with_animation image_url=”3521″ animation=”Fade In” img_link_target=”_self”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][tabbed_section][tab title=”Good”][vc_column_text]
