Best thriller movies to watch during Halloween

Spooky season is here and there is no better way to get into the spirit of Halloween than by watching scary and thrilling movies. Listed are some of my favorite movies to watch during the Halloween season. If scary movies aren’t your idea of fun, these might not be the best for you, but if you enjoy watching frightening movies and experiencing the thrill, continue reading.

  1. “The Nun”

There is not a boring moment in “The Nun.” The way the nun, Valak, was shown and depicted in the movie was actually quite terrifying. The jump scares were not too scary, but the story about the nun and the plot unraveling was what made the film creepy. The demon nun, Valak, made me feel nervous. Her presence in the movie was evil and creates an uneasy feeling. This is the kind of movie that keeps you from sleeping at night.

  1. “Get Out”

In “Get Out,” Chris goes on a weekend getaway to meet his girlfriend Rose’s parents. He becomes skeptical of their behavior partly because of their nervousness toward his interracial relationship, but soon he uncovers some of their disturbing secrets that show a horrifying truth. Each of the elements in the plot made the story twisted and dark. The movie is intense, creepy and thought-provoking. It’s a great social thriller to watch if you enjoy suspense and mystery.

  1. “Us”

“Us” is a story about a family on vacation encountering their evil doppelgangers who try to take the place of the family by attacking them. Everything seems fine at first, but the real story revealed, in the end, is a plot twist that shocks everyone. This movie truly was a cinematic masterpiece. While the movie was not that scary, the plot was a great psychological thriller that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.

  1. “The Sinister”

“The Sinister” is a great thriller movie to watch, but not alone. The movie takes you on the journey of a family that moves into a new house and discovers old tapes of people who lived there before them. In the tapes, the dad discovers clips of each of them getting murdered and he sees a demonic face at the end of each clip. These clips are petrifying, and overall, it is a good horror movie to watch.

“Halloween” is a classic scary movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It is a movie about a psychotic killer named Micheal Myers and how after escaping prison because he killed his sister, he finds his next victim. Keep in mind that this movie is very violent and frightening before you watch it.
