The football team will play against the Lewisville Farmers on Nov. 3 after losing their first district game of the season on Friday, against the Trinity Trojans.

 

The Hawks scored the first touchdown of the game, with senior quarterback Clayton Tune passing to senior wide receiver Jaren Mitchell. Before the end of the first quarter, Esteban Larranaga scored a touchdown for Trinity, making the score an even 7-7.

 

In the middle of the second quarter, Courage Keihn scored a touchdown for Trinity, pulling the Trojans ahead. Senior running back Jatyn Taylor then evened the score with a touchdown run, making the halftime score 14-14.

 

In the third quarter, Keihn scored two touchdowns for Trinity, giving the Trojans a 28-14 lead. At the start of the fourth quarter, Tune completed a pass to senior wide receiver Deandre Warren for a touchdown,making the score 28-21. Brice Honaker then successfully completed a field goal for Trinity, making the Trojans a lead of 31-21.

 

The fourth quarter ended with Tune passing to sophomore wide receiver Colton Bradford, making the score 31-28. The Hawks were unable to recover an onside kick late, and lost the game 31-28. The defeat dropped Hebron’s record to 6-2.
