Baseball to compete in Clear Creek ISD tournament

Varsity baseball will compete in the Clear Creek ISD tournament on March 3 against Clear Creek in Houston. The game will take place at Bob Cobb Field at 10 a.m.
Coach Stephen Stone said the team did not get the start they would have liked this season since rainy weather forced the cancellation of some games.
“We opened our season last weekend,” Stone said. “The weather didn’t really cooperate much, but we were able to get four games in. We know we have a lot of things to work on to get where want to get. ”
The tournament will consist of six games over a three-day period. With district in two weeks, Stone said the team’s goal is to progress and improve as the season continues.
“Our goal is to make it into the playoffs,” Stone said. “So, we will work everyday to reach that goal. As coaches, we will continue to tweak our lineup to try and figure out what lineup gives us the best opportunity for success.”
