  • The period of time after AP testing. Movies and end-of-the-year parties? Yes, please.
  • Banquets, banquets, banquets.
  • The new season of “Orange is the New Black” coming out in June.
  • Warm, sunny weather. I was starting to forget the sky was blue.
  • Vacation. Doesn’t matter if it’s 30 minutes away or 3 hours—just take me away.
  • Turning in textbooks. Saying goodbye never felt so good.
  • Sodapalooza. One, two, three refills a day.

  • The plethora of movie remakes. Spoiler alert: Poltergeist was no good.
  • Final exams right after AP tests. I think I’m allergic to scantrons.
  • The debilitating lack of motivation that comes with the end of the school year.
  • Monsoon weather in Texas. It was fun for, like, a week. We want dry ground.
  • Embarrassing yearbook pictures. The yearbook looks great. My mugshot? Not so much.
  • Ending the school year in June. Why are we still here?
  • The summer job application process. The race is on.
