Lewisville hosted their annual “ColorPalooza” festival in Old Town Lewisville on April 8. The free event hosts a variety of booths and activities that are primarily centered on showcasing the abilities of amateur and professional artists.
The main draw to this event is the wide variety of activities kids and adults can pay to participate in painting tutorials, a DIY tie-dye shirt station and an art demonstration tent. One of the main activities of the event includes a chalk drawing contest called “Chalk This Way,” in which participants pay to decorate a square of pavement with chalk to win awards like “Best Use of Color” or a scholarship.
