The early voting period in Texas started on Oct. 13 and will continue until Oct. 30, so that voters have time to register, mail-in absentee ballots or simply get time off at work to cast their vote.

So far this election year, there has been a much larger voter turn-out, by almost 10 million, compared to the number of voters in 2016. Along with voting for the President, other positions, such as senate and mayor are also being chosen.

“Our democracy is based on the right of the people to elect their leaders,” Mayor of Carrollton Kevin Falconer said. “It’s imperative for us – the people – to exercise that right. Don’t forgo that privilege that so many have sacrificed so much to protect.”
