Esports went to the Texas Undisputed Esports State Championship April 30-May 2 at Baylor University and the Waco Convention Center, where they competed in eight different games. The varsity “Overwatch” team won first place.
There were six awards given to our program: principal Dr. Amy Boughton was awarded “Admin of the Year,” and head coach Kristopher Phillips was awarded “Coaching Team of the Year.” For student awards, “iRacing” player Marco Van Der Westhuizen, Esports president and junior varsity “Valorant” captain Abby Pham, varsity “Overwatch” player Carter Lenahan, varsity “Valorant” player Roy Choe and varsity “Rocket League” player Josh Falconer were all awarded “All-State” awards.
