Choir is hosting its annual elementary and middle school cluster concerts in the auditorium on Dec. 3-5 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

“In each cluster, each middle school is fed by three elementary schools and each of them will get to sing one or two songs,” head choir director Alexander Carr said. “Then the middle schools will sing, then everyone in Hebron choir and everyone in the concert will do the finale.”

Arbor Creek’s cluster will perform on Tuesday, Creek Valley’s cluster on Wednesday and Killian’s cluster will be the last to perform on Thursday.

“I have done cluster concerts in all of my previous stops and they all have been very different,” Carr said. “The goal has always been the same – to see everyone singing together, and for the younger kids to see what choir is like in high school.”

Carr said the songs they will sing in the cluster concerts are songs that they will also be performing in the winter concert, which they have been preparing for during class.

“The idea of the [cluster concerts] is for the younger kids to get to see where they are going to be or can be when they get to Hebron,” Carr said. “Part of it is a recruitment opportunity, but also a celebration of singing.”
