Senior Yasmin Haq is the editor-in-chief and this is her fourth year on staff. She dabbles in just about anything creative including writing, photography, costume making and art. Yasmin thinks being a nerd is a full-time job, and is currently the employee of the month.

Art that advances to regionals is placed on the gallery floor where students and teachers can go to look at pieces. The judges closed the gallery that afternoon so they could determine who advances to state.  “It was kind of nerve-wracking, but at the same time it was really fun,” Junior Claire Song said. “I got to see everyone’s art and everything was so good. Everyone was so talented. So it was just a fun experience going with all the talented people from Hebron and seeing all the talent from our district.”

Junior Lucas Huckeba jumps 13 feet while pole vaulting. He practices almost every day during fourth period and after school. “To be a good pole vaulter, you need to be a good athlete,” pole vault coach David Brown said. “It always helps to have good speed, and the main thing is that you’re not scared of getting up on a tall stick 16 feet in the air.”
